Certificates

We both hold our British Driving Society Road Driving Certificates and follow the Code of Practise for Horse Drawn Vehicles. The COP contains guidance jointly agreed and reviewed by The Department of the Environment, Transport & the Regions, The British Driving Society, The British Horse Society, The Heavy Horse Driving Committee, The Joint National Horse Education & Training Council & the International League for the Protection of Horses. This is not currently a legal requirement but we realise the importance of safety for all persons and animals involved and this shows our Commitment to our clients.

We both hold our Welfare of Animals in Transport Order licences, which was introduced for the welfare of the horses whilst being transported which is of huge importance to our Company and their comfort is always at the forefront of our minds.

We hold a current Commercial Carriage Drivers Liability Insurance Policy with Carriage House Insurance.

Please note: For the welfare of our horses, the maximum distance that we would be willing to travel in the funeral cortege is 7 miles and the maximum total service time would not exceed 2.5 hours.
